Winter Sports Teams Wrap Up a Wonderful Season

The Cathedral Climbing Team placed first in the Washington Area Interscholastic Climbing League Championships. Congrats to these fantastic Eagles on this impressive achievement! The Varsity Basketball team brought determination and dedication to their games, and Captain Erica B. ‘25 was named All-League in the Independent School League. The Squash team won the Mid-Atlantic Squash Organization tournament and placed 28th out of more than 200 teams in the national High School Championships. Swimmers met with individual and team success. Middle School placed third at championships, while Varsity Swimming and Diving placed second at District of Columbia State Athletic Association. Ellie D. ’25 was named the Most Outstanding Performer at the meet for the second year in a row and won the 50 free and 100 free. The 200 free relay team of Ellie D. '25, Parker M. ‘25, Maddie L. ‘28, and Adele M. ‘26 also placed first. Ice hockey, returning as a club sport after many years, had a fantastic season of teamwork and fun.
