Girls Who Code Lead Hackathon for Peers

Students in Grades 5-12 attended this year’s Hackathon, led by members of NCS’s Girls Who Code. The Upper School GWC instructors guided their peers through codebreaking, programming in Python, HTML, Scratch, JavaScript, and prototyping. This year’s theme, design for all, had students working in teams to redesign outdoor play experiences and “hack” spaces to include all people. Robot programming courtesy of the NCS Alpha Eagles and a cardboard build were also on the schedule.
