Diversity Forum Tackles Question of "Science FAIR?"

On April 17, NCS held its annual Diversity Forum to delve into the theme of "Science FAIR?"— exploring topics related to equity in STEM. The community convened for an engaging keynote address by Fig O’Reilly, who talked about her experiences in the STEM field, including the educators who helped her “unlock the key to what was possible.” Faculty/staff and guest facilitators ran a series of workshops for Upper and Middle School students, while Lower School students enjoyed a Hackathon run by Upper School members of Girls Who Code. Topics included Binary Code Jewelry, Cybersecurity, and Cryptography. Upper and Middle School students ended the day with a talent show. Thank you to the Upper School Equity Board and the Center for Ethical Leadership and Service for organizing a wonderful day!
