Lower School Spelling Bee Results in Three-Way Tie!

Just before winter break, the Lower School held the finals of its division-wide spelling bee. Two representatives from each homeroom competed before an audience of students and families of the participants.

 

The bee resulted in a three-way tie! Congratulations to 6th graders Naomi W. and Lulu M. and to 5th grader Marigold R.—they tied for 1st place among 20 Lower School contestants from the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. These three students will compete at the D.C. Citywide Intermediate/Cluster Bee. Naomi is the only Lower School student to advance to the Citywide Bee both years that NCS has participated! Congratulations also to Sienna A. ’32 who came in 4th place. Way to go, students!
