Lower Schoolers Reach Goal, Support CARE in March Readathon
The goal for this year’s Lower School Readathon, which kicked off with a dress-as-your-favorite-book-character day, was for all students in the division to read a total of 150,000 pages in the month of March. The students jump-started their effort with reading time at a Lower School Assembly and had until March 31 to reach this literary goal.
Congratulations to the students for reading well beyond their goal, students read a total of 351,931 pages. Grade 6 read a total of 198,756 pages! Grade 4 and 5 students collectively read 153,175 pages.
The Readathon is raising money for CARE, an organization that works around the world to save lives, defeat poverty, and achieve social justice, centered around women and girls.
