Lower School Students Explore the DMV

On Discover D.C. Day, students in Grades 4-6 took a day to explore the region. Grade 4 spent the day outdoors, tackling challenge courses at Calleva. Grade 5 headed to the National Mall to explore the U.S. Botanic Garden before delving into a captivating “art investigators” program at the National Gallery of Art. Grade 6 had an enriching morning at Planet Word, a museum with interactive exhibits showcasing various aspects of language, followed by an afternoon of creativity at a hands-on exhibit and makerspace at the KID Museum in Bethesda.
