(NEW DATE) Parent Speaker Event: Ready to Listen, Ready to Talk: Your Students' Journey Toward Dialogue Across Difference

    via Zoom
This event was previously scheduled for Oct. 3 and was rescheduled for Oct. 29.

This event is hosted by the Center for Ethical Leadership and Service (CELS) and all NCS parents/guardians are welcome. Zoom link will be sent to all parents in the weekly Bulletin prior to the event.

The Center for Ethical Leadership and Service (CELS) has organized DEI Dialogues, a series of sessions to bring experts and leaders in their fields to the parent/guardian community throughout the year.

For our first session, we are honored to welcome Dr. Lara Schwartz and Andrea Brenner as they lead us in a session titled Ready to Listen, Ready to Talk: Your Students' Journey Toward Dialogue Across Difference.

Dr. Lara Hope Schwartz teaches in the School of Public Affairs at American University, where she is founding director of the Project on Civic Dialogue (formerly the Project on Civil Discourse). A lawyer and former civil rights strategist, she is the author, with our second guest, Andrea Malkin Brenner, of How to College: What to Know before You Go (and When You’re There). She is also the author of this year’s faculty read, Try to Love the Questions. She and Brenner co-authored How to College.
