NCS's theater program introduces Middle and Upper School students to the stage as a means of individual and collaborative expression. Faculty members seek to inspire greater empathy and broaden each student's perspective through the exploration of characters and concepts that expand our horizons and challenge our preconceptions.

Introductory, intermediate, and advanced classes allow students the opportunity to explore the various aspects of theater and pursue their interest in acting, production work, or design. The Theater Department also has an extensive co-curricular production program, in coordination with St. Albans School, that culminates each year in two Middle School and three Upper School shows, including classics, modern plays, and musicals.
